If you have not yet enjoyed Fremont Street Experience or Downtown Vegas as a whole during your Vegas vacation extravaganzas, then you are definitely missing out! The business and urban development planning over the past twenty to twenty-five years has definitely been working on overdrive to bring this once sole-standing Las Vegas location back to life and boy have they succeeded! Downtown Las Vegas is unique, fun and, dare I say it, much cheaper of an area in Las Vegas to venture off to. If you are a regular or even moderate Vegas vacationer and have yet to journey downtown, I suggest you do so. And, if you are a newbie, well first, congratulations on your first Las Vegas trip! Second, get downtown; you surely will not be disappointed. See below for some fun and unique things to do outside of gambling (for the most part)!
1.Viva Vision Light Show -
On December 14, 1995 the very first Viva Vision light show debuted to the masses in all its fantastic Vegas glory. Now, a full 23 whopping years later, Viva Vision is still lighting up the closed 5 block section of Downtown Las Vegas, called Fremont Street Experience. You can check out Viva Vision for yourself 365 days a year starting at 6:00 PM and running on the hour until the last light show of the night; 1:00 AM.

2. Slotzilla is, in my opinion, possibly the best introduction to Fremont Street Experience since Viva Vision in 1995. Slotzilla debuted April 2014 and has been flying Vegas goers down Fremont Street ever since. Slotzilla runs from 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM Sunday through Thursday and until 2:00 AM Friday and Saturday.

3. Three Stages of Live or DJ Music -
One of the coolest parts of Fremont Street Experience is the rocking stages they added to the beginning, middle and end (honestly, not sure which end is the beginning and which is the end, but what I am sure of is the entire section is a must go!) of the five block party street! Now, if I am being totally honest, the party and major talent is located at the main stage (the middle stage). Check out the concert calendar located on the below website to discover if someone big will be there when you visit!
4. Free Slot-Pulls at Fremont Street Casinos where you can win up to $2,500! The two Downtown Las Vegas Casinos who offer this awesome chance with luck are Four Queens and Binion's. Please, do not be duped into falling for one of the fake slot-pulls. However, if you are, rest assured you will not be scammed and taken for all you are worth; worst case scenario, you will get caught in a time-share discussion.
5. Check out the Neon Museum
Yes, there are museums in Las Vegas! However, the museums offered are not your typical run of the mill history museums. They are chocked full of fascinating Las Vegas history. And, if you know anything about Las Vegas then you know that its history is rich in corruption, illegal activity, gambling, fame, glimmer and glitz! Hello! What is more fun than that?
The Neon Museum debuted in 1996. According to its website, it features signs from old casinos and businesses throughout Las Vegas history. This museum is basically Las Vegas' preservation museum. Cost is $19 for adults and $15 for kids 7 - 17; kids 6 and under enter for free.
6. Photo Opp with 1-Mil Cash!
Take a Free Photo with One Million Dollars Cash at Binions! Yes, you heard me correctly; you can take a photo with 1Mil of cold hard cash! But, don't get too excited; it is not only organized and stored within a tight, non-moving casing, but just like everything in Las Vegas, it is heavily guarded. Still, let's be honest, most of us will not have the option to take a snap-shot of ourselves with $1,000,000, so why not borrow someone else's million for a brief photo opportunity!
7. Play Keno on the Worlds Largest Keno Board Located Outside "The D"
I don't know about you but I have played a lot of Keno in my life but playing on the worlds largest Keno board is way cooler than any bar, restaurant or convenient store board! Check out "The D" on Fremont Street for the worlds largest Keno board!
8. Check Out the Shark Tank at the Golden Nugget
The Golden Nugget is quite the fancy casino in Downtown Las Vegas and one of its fanciest pieces is the shark tank. It is a really neat and fun feature for the kiddos and the adults alike!
9. Get a Day Pass to Golden Nugget's Unique and Award Winning Pools
The Golden Nugget has two pools; "The Tank," an all ages experience. "The Hideout," a 21+ experience. Each pool has a $35 cover for guest not staying at the hotel.
10. Check Out the Mob Museum
Another fascinating walk through Las Vegas history. Just a 5 minute stroll down the road from Fremont Street Experience. Buy your tickets online and get $2 off!
11. Hangout in the Fremont East District
Las Vegas' Energetic Downtown Restaurant and Bar Scene. They oftentimes have different festivals and events; however, even if there is not a scheduled event, the area is hopping and vibrant!
