Although just about a mile from the Wynn and Encore Casino Resorts, which is pretty much the end (north end) to the busy portion of the Las Vegas Strip; Circus Circus – Celebrating 50 big years this year (Congrats, Circus Circus!), is definitely worth your visit while vacationing to the Fabulous Las Vegas, NV.
There are many reasons for why Circus Circus deserves your ride, drive or even walk if you are up for some exercise, while vacationing to Las Vegas. Below are seven reasons why I personally love Circus Circus - Las Vegas and why I have visited the casino resort each of the last four times I have ventured off on a Las Vegas vacation.

Excitement of Circus Circus
7 Reasons Why You Should Visit "Circus Circus" During Your Vegas Vacation:
1. Cheap Blackjack Tables

Although Circus Circus offers all the good table games; Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow and more, I personally want to touch briefly on Blackjack. At Circus Circus, you are more likely to find cheaper minimum hands than at some of the larger casino resorts that sit in the thick of it all on the Las Vegas Strip. The lowest Blackjack minimum you are likely to find on the Las Vegas Strip is $15 per hand and that is few and far between, and good luck getting on one of these tables on a weekend.
At Circus Circus, you are more likely to seat yourself in a chair at a $15 minimum table; possibly even a lower minimum (no promises but during certain days and times, it is definitely a possibility) at times. Circus Circus offers single deck, double deck and eight deck Blackjack, but an interesting feature that I think is worth your visit if you are a Blackjack fan is the “Rockin’ Party Pit Blackjack” that pays 2:1 during select times each day (look around for the flashing red lights).
2. Circus Midway w/ Free Hourly Trapeze Show

The Circus Circus mimicked Midway, which is located above the casino floor, really is great fun for adults and children. In fact, my parents, my boyfriend and I all participated in a fun water gun game ourselves! My boyfriend took home the prize on that one. There are many other arcade games to be played on the Circus Circus Midway, as well as delicious popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream to indulge in and other fun circus activities to be seen, like clowns performing juggling acts. Even if you spend zero money playing games or purchasing delicious circus treats, taking a lap around the Midway at Circus Circus is definitely an entertaining experience. Make sure you stay long enough to get a free trapeze show!
Trapeze acts start at 11:30 a.m. and roll on half past the hour, every hour, until 11:30 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday; however, the final curtain call on Friday’s and Saturday’s ends up being one hour later for all you night owls out there; you can catch the last show of the day at 12:30 a.m. I have seen this fantastic free Circus Circus performance multiple times and it never gets old.
3. Adventuredome and Waterpark
Circus Circus is actually known in Las Vegas as being one of the, if not the, last standing family friendly casino resorts in “Sin City.” A large reason for this is because of Circus Circus’ Adventuredome and Waterpark.
Adventuredome, located between the casino floor and the hotel (all within the same building), is exactly how it sounds; a dome full of adventure! Through the magical Adventuredome doors, you will find thrilling amusement rides and rollercoasters, exciting simulations and amusing arcade games. This fun space is nothing short of a good time for both kids and adults! If you would like to just check it, you may enter the Adventuredome for free. However, wristbands to ride all day long are only $32.95 for individuals 48” and taller and $18.95 for those 48” and under.
Splash Zone, Circus Circus’ Waterpark, is located adjacent to the casino resort; just across Circus Circus Drive. However, you may take the skywalk from the hotel lobby to Splash Zone’s entrance to make things easier. Pool hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and waterslide hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Splash Zone features include three waterslides, an all ages splash pad water playground, cabanas for rent, snack shops and a food truck (as a major foodie, this is my personal favorite part). Unlike Adventuredome, you must be a Circus Circus guest to enter the waterpark; if this is a Las Vegas attraction for you, looking into reserving your hotel with Circus Circus may be something you will want to do (Circus Circus rates and availability). If you plan to stay at Circus Circus and want to take advantage of this very fun in the sun experience, my recommendation is to book time at Splash Zone prior to your visit, so to ensure your spot is reserved on your preferred day.
4. Walkway of Inexpensive Shops and Secret Slots
A Circus Circus feature that I find to be neat is the runway of shops, accompanied by a second casino floor. The only way to locate this space is to take a walk past the main casino floor and toward the hotel lobby. Along your walk, you will find many inexpensive Las Vegas souvenir and Circus Circus brand shops, restaurants and that second secret casino floor experience that I mentioned above! So, if you do not strike it rich on the main floor, try your luck on the back floor; just follow the hallway toward the back of the main casino floor and enjoy all the people watching, shopping, eating and ching-chinging!
5. Take a Seat at the Vince Neil Party Bus Bar

2 for 1 Daily Drink Specials with Flair
This is not only my favorite bar at Circus Circus; this is my favorite bar in all of Las Vegas! I know what you are thinking, “That is one really strong statement,” but hear me out. As a major Motley Crue fan, it is to be expected that I would have a special place in my heart for a Vince Neil bar, right? Well, imagine a Vince Neil bar that does not just stream all the badass Motley Crue music videos, but all badass music videos from their major music era; the 1980’s and 1990’s.
Alright, great points recap; owned by the lead singer of Motley Crue, check! A place that is heaven for your eyes and ears through streaming great music videos, check! But, wait! There’s more! This awesome bar offers two for one drink specials during the day and guests have a full bar of cocktail choices to choose from. My favorite is to order a two for one delicious frozen concoction (pina colada, two flavors of daiquiris and margarita). Total cost ends up being around $7 for two drinks. You just cannot beat it!
Okay, another recap; we have Vince Neil, we have great music, we have cheap but delicious drinks. So, what else could there be? Well, you cannot have a great, rockin’ bar without awesome bartending staff. Those individuals who hold down the bar are all trained flair bartenders; they definitely keep things interesting. Also, as an added entertainment bonus, video poker is offered at each seat at the bar.
Cool, right? Well, check this out… if you give Circus Circus and the Vince Niel Party Bus Bar a try, you will not just find yourself bellied up to a bar with a true rock star ambiance; you will find yourself seated in front of a bar that is built into a full length band tour bus! I have no doubt that you will 100% enjoy your time at the Vince Neil Party Bus Bar; however, if for some odd reason you do not enjoy your experience, well, at least you got a cheap drink; cheap drinks can be few and far between in Las Vegas.
One last reason to check it out; one of the bartenders once told me that every once in a while, probably not too often but it has happened, Vince Neil makes an appearance. Now, I have been to this bar many times and have not had the opportunity to catch him hanging around either his party bus bar or restaurant, “Tatuado;” however, I do hang on the hopes that one day I will and for that reason alone I will continue to frequent Circus Circus and the Vince Neil Party Bus Bar.
6. THE Steakhouse
THE Steakhouse at Circus Circus was voted best of Las Vegas for over 30 years and was named Zagat’s 2011 Top Steakhouse in Las Vegas and received Zagat’s award rating for 2014 as well. So, what does all this mean? It means that Circus Circus’ “THE Steakhouse” is a must eat Las Vegas restaurant. If you are in the mood for fine dining, I encourage you to check out “Vegas’ best dining secret.”
7. Slots-A-Fun

About to Enter Slots-A-Fun!!
Slots-A-Fun is a separate building from Circus Circus and sits adjacent to the main casino, right off Las Vegas Blvd (technically Las Vegas Freeway on the map). If you visit Circus Circus, it is definitely worth stopping into Slots-A-Fun for a cheap drink and a look around. However, if you are interested in some ‘big kid games’ Slots-A-Fun is where you will find them; pool tables, bowling, adult arcade games and more!
Best Rates on the Web!!
Despite the fact that Circus Circus is located a bit further down The Strip than some of the other casinos close in proximity to each other, based on the experience of a true Vegas lover and avid Vegas vacationer, I think it is worth your checking out! My recommendation; grab an RTC bus transportation day pass for only $8 (you can purchase your bus pass at one of the transit vending machine located at any bus stop and can be purchased in 3 day blocks for $21, saving you $1 per day) and stop at Circus Circus on the way to Downtown Las Vegas /Fremont Street Experience. Make an adventure out of it!
